I was first exposed to charcoal and it's amazing healing properties through my Naturopathic Doctor who told me this is part of traditional Chinese medicine that comes from her homeland. I used the charcoal in a blend of ingredients to make a poultice to give myself a natural eye lift. DO NOT USE charcoal straight on your skin ! It will stain it ! The poultice worked amazingly well and in a short period of time my eyelids were perky again and folks weren't asking me if I was tired, which had been the case prior to using the packs.
Bamboo charcoal is said to draw out impurities and that's what it seemed to do to my eyelids ... draw out something that was causing them to be heavy. It certainly added a youthful look to my face with my eyes open wider !!
As Bamboo charcoal is naturally anti-microbial and anti-bacterial it's an excellent ingredient to use to help fight troubled skin.
I have a customer who purchased a bar of my Face Works soap to give to her son who has troubled skin.
